Working

Well I've been sorta busy lately, helping a friend with his remodeling business. Hanging drywall and insulating. I did get my rifle close to sighted in at 100 yards, but it was frigid that day and I was happy with "close".

Gunshow

Sunday I went to a gun show, sold all my brass and bought some 150 gr soft point .308s for coyote hunting. I went to the range and sighted in my rifle around 4pm. Didn't make it all the way back to 100 yards before dark, so I didn't take any pictures of targets. I need to get some pictures taken of groupings. My mom had a $20 off any purchase receipt from Dicks Sporting goods buying a chair blind for my dad on black Friday. I stopped in yesterday and they had Remington core-lokt ammo on sale at $14.50 a box so I got 4 and it was about $40 after tax, which was awesome.

Poker synopsis and rifle purchase

Well I ended up doing about how I expected today. So no real surprises there. I also went and picked up a rifle I ordered a couple weeks ago. It is a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .308 winchester, it is lightly used and came with 1" scope tube HIGH Leupold QR rings and 2 piece bases.

I won an olive colored short action Greybull Precision fiberglass stock about a month ago and thought they would look nice together.

 Currently all I have is a cheap Tasco 3-9x50 scope. I hope to order a Falcon Menace 4-14x44 mil dot scope with new 30mm rings.

Poker

I've played Texas Hold'em quite a few times with friends, so I know how to play. I'm no pro by any means, but while at Thanksgiving diner my cousin asked me to go to a tournament at a local bar. I thought it sounded like a good idea. The buy in is $35 which seems kinda steep to me, especially since I just got laid off from working at the computer store. The most I've ever paid to play before is $10, and I've only ever split the winnings 50/50 once. Hopefully I do well or at least have an awesome time.
